Staff was very friendly, the upstairs seating area was amazing. Very cute and retro. I got the bagel with bulgogi and the misugaru. The drink is like an acquired taste, would definitely recommend if you want something new and different.

I have a long list of other cafes to check out, but then I remember that Cafe Walnut exists and just come here instead. This place is just such a part of the fabric of Philadelphia that it never even occurred to me to review it until now. Their sausage (or bulgogi) egg and cheese on a croissant with gochujang is the best breakfast sandwich in the city, and it’s not even close. Don’t trust any top 10 list if this isn’t #1. The bulgogi beef BB Salad is proof that spring mix doesn’t have to suck. Unfortunately the rice is often mushy, but when it’s right it is RIGHT. Also enjoy the walnut redbean mochi, honey yuzu green tea, and adorable mochi breads when available. Service is quick and friendly, upstairs is a cozy spot with outlets and free WiFi where people camp out on their laptops. Check it out, but please leave the last chestnut mochi bread for me.

This is a really nice cafe. The breakfast sandwiches and coffee are great. I have also gotten a smoothie once and a chai latte on separate occasions, both were good! I am pretty sure they use real fruit which is great. The workers are friendly and things come out pretty quickly even if it's busy. There's seating upstairs and downstairs. I used to work nearby and would visit more often, but I still like going here when in the area.

I make an hour long trip every weekend to Café Walnut just for their matcha lattes: I literally haven’t found a matcha that is better than theirs, it’s the perfect level of sweetness and flavor. Everyone here is really welcoming and friendly, the ambiance is really great and good for work/ studying, and the food is so so good too! I recommend the BB salad as well Def worth a try?

Stopped in after a doctor's appointment to grab some breakfast. It's easy to walk by the place and not realize it's there. The service was slow but friendly. They have a really nice seating area upstairs. Lots of sun and artwork. I had a toffee nut latte which was disappointing. The espresso was burned and the latte didn't have much flavor. The bagel sandwich on the otherhand was delicious! A nice soft everything bagel with real egg and sausage. Very tasty. I will probably try it again at some point to give the coffee another shot.

The Korean fusion bulgogi bagel here is absolutely delicious—flavorful and perfectly heated. Definitely worth trying! However, I have to take off one star for the iced latte. The coffee with milk was overly bitter, lacking aroma, and unfortunately so unpleasant that we couldn’t finish it and had to throw it away. I wouldn’t recommend ordering the coffee here, but the bagel is a must-try!

A nice little hidden Korean café, good food and good atmosphere. They have your standard fare of coffees and some smoothies, sadly I noticed the smoothie list second otherwise I would have ordered that rather than a coffee. The latte was nothing special, and for 4.25$ for a small I'd say it's alright value. Some sugars and other things off to the side, and plenty of milk options including soy and oat. The menu isn't big but it doesn't have to be, if has standard fare breakfast and lunch options with some Korean bulgogi choices. I had the breakfast bulgogi sandwich, and although I ordered non-spicy I do have to mention as a white guy who can't stand spicy at all, it was still slightly spicy. Nothing too bad but something to note. I had it on a croissant, and it was arguably small. About two thirds of a Wawa shorti. But for 6.55 I'd say it's good value. It was good but again, nothing special. The atmosphere is quaint and it has a larger upstairs section with good seating so don't be fooled by the small lower section. I wish it was slightly cleaner, but that's getting into nitpicking territory. I'd definitely rate this place a hard 4-4.5, nothing I'd go out of my way to go back to, but if I'm in the area and peckish or had some time to kill I'd definitely stop by. Don't get me wrong, it is very good for both value and taste, just not exceptionally special.

Cute hidden little cafe. I got a matcha latte with raspberry syrup, which was solid. I tried the breakfast sandwich with bulgogi—yummy although a little dry for my taste. I’d still recommend trying!
